Hi, I'm Grant ZL2XZ. I'm generally terrible at writing anything about myself, but here goes :) Been interested in HAM radio since forever and have used commercial RF gear in most of my jobs throughout my career. Got my best mate hooked and he got licensed years before I got around to it lol, hi Mike :) Tech junky at heart, about three decades of experience working with and maintaining various electronic systems hardware. Unfortunately suffered a brain injury in 2018 which has meant have had to reassess my career in this area. Presently medically retired while focussing on rehabilitation recovery and improving my health. Currently spending my spare time smelting metals from hardware which is no longer fit for purpose.
